World Cup 2014 - Semi-finals
Four semi-finalists, one dream: winning the World Cup.
Either Brazil, Germany, Argentina or the Netherlands will lift the famous trophy on July 13, but having the chance to do so means emerging through the semi-finals.
This is what the World Cup is all about.
The semi-finals will only keep the surge alive. Brazil and Germany present an intriguing defensive showdown, while the duel between Netherlands and Argentina is sure to provide plenty of scoring chances.
Brasil vs. Germany: Can Brazil go through to the finals with two key players out of contention or will the Germans embrace their domination and stride forward to the World Cup glory that awaits them? It’s only a matter of time before the whistle blows and with the exciting thrillers we’ve seen thus far, everyone’s gearing up for what might be an amazing end for one of these two nations. This game might be a very high scoring game, seeing the hunger in both teams to go all the way. Klose to score his record breaker is something everybody expect Brazilians will look forward to, keeping legend Ronaldo in their mind. ( 3-2 )
Netherlands vs. Argentina: Holland have been playing with 5-2-3 formation in the world cup so and lately Dirk Kuyt played as right full back and Van Gaal might go with the same system as this has proven quite fruitful so far. Argentina on the other hand depend massively on Lionel Messi and this might just be his year to lead his team to glory. Argentina has played brilliantly as a defensive unit in the last two knockout games keeping two clean sheets and if they can repeat that against Holland surely Messi can get them a goal or two. I like Holland and they are treat to watch going forward with Robben running circles around defenders and he has been the best player in the world cup by far. It is pretty much a Messi-v-Robben game and who ever come on top will lead his team to 2014 finals. ( 1-2 )
